Getting to Know Me- Kids Edition

Many of us have done the "Getting to Know Me" type tags whether on your blog or through an email. I thought it would be a good idea to do a kids version. The topics that I'm going to try to come up with are things that we may not really write about for our kids because it's so everyday to us that it doesn't stick out as something to write about, so... hopefully this way I will remember these little things that are a part of our everyday life right now, but I may not remember a year from now if I don't write it down now (with a few things thrown in that other people might not know). So... here goes...

Getting to Know Annabelle

1. What's your middle name? Claire
2. What food will you eat every time? Dried cranberries and goldfish
3. Describe a usual lunch for you? PB&J sandwich with a finger food snack (goldfish, dried fruit, fruit snacks, etc.)
4. What's your favorite drink? 2% milk
5. What are your very favorite songs? I'm a Little Teapot, La Lechuza, Hot Dog, Wheels on the Bus, Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, Bouncy Ball
6. Who are your favorite fictional characters? Dora, Mickey Mouse and other Mickey-related characters, Pinky Dinky Do, Kai-lan, Tigger & Pooh, all of the Land Before Time dinos, Dumbo, Cinderella, Hello Kitty, Care Bears
7. What/who are your favorite stuffed animals? Zaza, Marie, Figment, Little Foot, Lola... she really has SO MANY stuffed animals and she honestly at some point has probably considered each one her favorite and will go back to it being her favorite any time that she sees it.
8. What are your favorite electronic toys? ABC Leapfrog computer-ish thing and V-Smile Baby gaming system.
9. What are your favorite non-electronic toys? Her soccer ball, kitchen, and crayons.
10. What are your favorite books? You're My Little Lovebug, Grammy & Me (It's really Grandma & Me), Daddy & Me, Monsters book, Tails, Potty & Me, Water Water Everywhere (bath book), I Love You Through and Through, Brown Bear and many other Eric Carle books, ABC books
11. When's your naptime? Usually around 1pm and she sleeps for 2.5-3.5 hours.
12. When's your bedtime? 8:30-9 pm.  Closer to 8:30 on school nights, but it can get as last as 10:30-11 on nights where there is a lot going on.  (The late nights don't seem to affect her sleeping though... just how much she screams when it's time to go to bed.)
13. What's your bedtime routine? Put on jammies and a diaper, read 2 books of her choosing, sometimes spend some time talking about her day and what will happen the next day, lay her down in the bed holding her star blankie and put pink blankie on her toes, say prayers along with the Prayer Angel (so far she only says the "Amen", but she puts her hands together in prayer while the Angel is saying the prayer), turn out the lights and Mommy sings "La Lechuza" two times while scratching her head, back, and legs, then give big kisses and hugs and I leave the room with a "Good night and I love you!"
14. Besides the obvious, what's in your crib at night? 4 blankies (star blankie, pink blankie, green blankie, and Erica blankie), prayer angel, and sometimes a stuffed animal when she asks for it.
15. When is your happiest time of the day? Post nap.
16. What can make you laugh 100% of the time? Throwing her HIGH up in the air, flipping her over Mommy's shoulder, jumping on Daddy, or blowing razzies on her neck or tummy.
17. What makes you mad 100% of the time? Anything when she's tired.
18. What do you do to make others laugh? Say things that don't make sense, dance, or sing songs.
19. What do you do that drives your Mommy crazy?  Repeat things over and over and over and over, even though you've already gotten a response.
20. If you talk, what word(s) do you say incorrectly every time (but it's so cute that you can just go on saying it that way for a while)?  Pink (pronounced "pip"), Popcicle (pronounced "pah-sa-teel")
21. If you talk, what are you favorite words or phrases? "Look at me, Annabelle!" (her version of me saying "Look at you, Annabelle!") "Baby Corgan, Your big sister is coming." (when we go to get Corgan up from a nap) "And Mommy too" (she always wants someone else to do what she's doing) "Annabelle soo sleeeepy" (she likes to play sleepy now)

Getting to Know Corgan

1. What's your middle name? Alexander
2. What food will you eat every time? Puffs are a favorite, but he'll also eat any kind of baby-food.
3. Describe a usual lunch for you? A veggie if he had fruit for breakfast, or a fruit if he had veggies for breakfast.
4. What's your favorite drink? "Boobies" (aka Mommy's milk)
5. What are your very favorite songs? Pat-a-cake and Wheels on the Bus
6. Who are your favorite fictional characters? Blue's Clues always seems to catch his attention
7. What/who are your favorite stuffed animals? Ellee (the blue elephant that used to be Belle's)
8. What are your favorite electronic toys? His V-tech Move and Crawl Ball, Chicco plush ball, musical shapes turtle, his Fisher Price infant's farm, Bright Starts Tropical Activity Center, and his baseball tee (and Mommy's TiVo remote)
9. What are your favorite non-electronic toys? Balls (especially if they rattle) and Baby Beach Band
10. What are your favorite books? He's more into chewing on books than listening to them right now
11. When's your naptime? Usually about 1.5 hours after waking up in the morning, then again at about 2pm, then again at about 5 pm.
12. When's your bedtime? 8- 8:30pm.
13. What's your bedtime routine? Put on jammies and a clean diaper diaper, eat boobies (breastfeed), then put him into bed, turn on mobile if he's still awake and put his blankie in his hand.
14. Besides the obvious, what's in your crib at night? A mini-blanket with lots of textures (he loves to sleep with this in his hand) and a Sassy crib activity center thingy
15. When is your happiest time of the day? Mornings, but really anytime that he's getting attention or just happy playing by himself
16. What can make you laugh 100% of the time? Leaning him backwards like he's falling, tickle kisses on the neck, and any time that his sister gives him attention
17. What makes you mad 100% of the time? Washing his face or holding him down for medicine
18. What do you do to make others laugh? Shake his head "no", do an Axl Rose dance, or just give a big grin
19. What do you do that drives your Mommy crazy? Scream bloody murder and wake up in the middle of the night too many times
20. If you talk, what word(s) do you say incorrectly every time (but it's so cute that you can just go on saying it that way for a while)? Check back in a few months.
