Pee & Poo

During her semester abroad, Auntie Fancy picked up some of the most awesome t-shirts ever... Pee & Poo! She bought the Pee shirt for Annabelle and actually bought the Poo shirt for her neice, but it happened to work out that her neice outgrew it so Corgan is able to borrow it and Annabelle's still fits her perfectly!

And since we're on the subject...

A few days ago, Annabelle and I were going to take a bath and Corgan needed one too, so we decided to bring him in the bathtub with us. Not sure that we'll be doing that again soon though, because not only did he pee (a few times) in our bath, but he also spit up AND he pooped too! Of course, with the poop part, he was just taking after his big sister who, for the first time EVER, pooped in the shower a couple of weeks ago! She was showering with Daddy, and he said that he had his back to Annabelle when all of the sudden she started saying "NO!" over and over again. When he looked to see what she was "no-ing", he saw that she was pointing to her nice little pile of poop! Even as an infant she never peed or pooped in the bathtub, so this was a big surprise. It was only days after this that I setup her potty.

Speaking of the potty...

No, Annabelle hasn't peed or pooped in her potty yet, but she absolutely loves sitting on it. Pretty much every time that we change her diaper, she wants to go "pee-pee". It's very cute. She sits on the potty for about 5 seconds, then she wants "paper" to wipe her imaginary pee, and she's now learning to flush "Mommy's" potty. She's still telling us more and more often when she pees or poos in her diaper, but it's always after the fact. Maybe soon she'll get the idea to tell us before rather than after. As Keith mentioned, I went book shopping yesterday, and one of the books that I bought was A Potty for Me!. We read it in the store and at bedtime last night, and she seems really into the book. It's funny to see her little mind working and making the connections about what the little kid in the book is experiencing and what she's experiencing in her own world. I'm still realistic about potty training, and not expecting it to happen any time soon, but if she's interested, I'm certainly not going to discourage it.

And since we've been talking about poop, I might as well leave you with my parody of a song that I wrote when I first started experiencing poop diapers on a daily basis with Annabelle. The song is "My Dumps", parodying The Black Eyed Peas' "My Humps". Enjoy!

My Dump My dump, my dump, my dump, my dump,
My dump, my dump, my dump, my dump, my dump, my dump.
My yucky baby dump.
In the back and in the front.
My poop’s got u,
She’s got me changin’.
(Oh) Changin’ all these diapees on me and using wipes on me.
She’s got me changin’.
(Oh) Changin’ all these diaps on me, on me, on me.

What you gon’ do with all that junk?
All that junk inside that trunk?
I’ma get, get, get, get you up,
Get you up to change my dump.
What you gon’ do with all them diaps?
All them diaps that just aren’t clean?
I’ma make, make, make, make you scream
Make you scream, make you scream.
What you gon do with all that junk?
All that junk inside that trunk?
I’ma make, make, make, make you puke,
Make you puke cause of my duke.
What you gon’ do wit all that breast?
All that breast inside that shirt?
I’ma make, make, make, make you squirt
Make you squirt, squirt, make you squirt.
She’s got me changin’.
Changin’ all these diapees on me and using wipes on me.
She’s got me changin’.
Changin’ all these diaps on me, on me, on me.
