Corgan's First Day of School

We survived Corgan's first day of school with no tears from him or me. I'm sure having visited the school a hundred times with Annabelle helped, but he was happy both when I dropped him off and picked him up. All four of us went for his first day. Annabelle ran off to see her class on the playground before we could even say goodbye, so Daddy and I took Corgan to his classroom. There were already 3 other kids in there (there are only 5 in his class) so he picked up the toys and started playing with the toys and the kids. He was happily playing when Keith and I sneaked out. The teacher said he never got upset at all. When I came back to pick him up, he was sitting at the lunch table eating a snack with his classmates. He got mad when the teacher picked him up to hand him to me because he wanted to stay and eat more food. :) The teacher said that was the most upset he had been all day. That's my boy!

Although I didn't quite get a full kid-less 3 hours this morning because we stuck around for a little bit when we dropped the kids off at school this morning, it was great to come home to a quite house for a little while. I got right to work making phone calls and painting, then before I knew it, it was time to pick the kids up. It worked out good though because Corgan was ready for a nap when we got home, so he slept from noon until 4pm so I was able to occupy Annabelle with a movie (and a nap) while I did more painting. Hopefully all of our days go this smoothly. :)

Here are a couple more pictures from Corgan's first day of school...

Check out Corgan's new backpack. It looks huge on him, but it's so darn cute! :)

Corgan at play in his new classroom. I think he's really going to like this school thing. :)

I can't believe he is in school already. You have some kid-less time!!! What hours do he and Annabelle go?

He looks so...little! I can't believe he is in school 5 days a week at one! You aren't going to know what to do with yourself :) Enjoy :)

He is really precious with the backpack!
