Playroom Wall Mock-Up

I've just about got the red "planks" finished on the walls in the playroom.  I just have to pencil in and paint the black lines on the red in the loft, and I'm done with that!  I can't wait!

So, the next step will be painting the "Barnyard Dance" animals on the blue.  The playroom is supposed to look like the inside of a barn (imagine that!) with the Sandra Boynton barnyard characters looking in.  Last night I scanned in a bunch of the characters and photoshopped them onto a picture of the wall to design out exactly who/what I want where (which is what you see in the picture above).  I think this wall is going to look adorable!  I still need to design the big wall too, but right now there's lots of furniture in front of it and I think I'm going to wait until I get the playroom furniture in there to see where to put things so I don't spend time painting something only to put a table in front of it.

So... as soon as this rain goes away and I get a chance to head to the store, I'm going to get started on the characters.  I'm planning to project it onto the wall so it should be pretty simple to trace the outline of the characters.  The hard part will be painting the white background for each character and getting the shading right with the paint.  I can't wait to see that room done!
