Because Two Barns Aren't Enough...

Since our barn-looking garage has gone up, Annabelle has said "There's my 2 barns!" just about every time we drive up our driveway. But 2 barns just aren't enough, so I'm making a 3rd barn for the playroom.

Once the addition is complete, Annabelle & Corgan's playroom is going to be in the room that is currently our master bedroom. Although Keith & I still sleep in there, I've already started converting it to a playroom with the help of many gallons of paint. I knew that painting it would be a huge job, so I wanted to go ahead and get started. So... here's what I have so far:
The theme for the playroom is, of course, a barn. It's going to be painted and decorated to look like the inside of a barn. Most of the walls will have the red planks of wood looking thing on them, but 2 of the walls will have blue to look like you are looking outside. On the blue, I will be adding Sandra Boynton's Barnyard Dance animals looking like they are either looking into the barn or dancing out in the fields. The furniture will all be cartoonish and/or barn themed (for example, red bean bags made to look like large tomatoes and a storage ottoman made to look like a bale of hay).

I have only completed 2 of the walls because it was all that I could get to without moving everything around over and over again (like I said, Keith and I are still living in that room) and the new window still needs to be put in and I didn't want to have to patch that part to make it look like it was all done at the same time. I'm very excited to have this part done though and to know that it's going to look as great on the walls as it looked in my head! Seriously, kids rooms, and especially playrooms, are the most fun to decorate! I can't wait to see it all finished!
