It's a Start

Exact 2 months after Corgan was born, I put on my 2 sports bras and I went out running for the first time in probably about a year! I have been afraid to get out there because my joints honestly feel like they are not nearly as strong as they used to be. I did pretty good for my first time out though. I started out running 1.25 miles without stopping, then alternated walking and running for another mile. Although a treadmill would probably be better for my joints, I ran around my neighborhood instead of using a treadmill because it forces me to keep going once I get a certain distance away from home.

My joints (knees specifically) did feel a bit worn while I was running, and when I stopped to walk my back was hurting in a strange place (right at the base of my spine). I'm not too bad today, but 2 days after is always the worst so we'll see how I feel tomorrow. :)

Good for you! That's pretty impressive for not working out for a year :) Keep it up...it gets easier and makes you feel so...much better :)
