The house plans are coming along. The designer thinks that his part will be done in about another 3-4 weeks! I assume that means permits and all. We've just about finalized the overall design and will be starting on identifying the location of outlets, lights, cable, fans, etc. hopefully this week. While we're doing that, the structural engineer will evaluate the plans for structural intergrity. I've been REALLY busy with looking though the 100s of decorating magazines and handsful of decorating books for ideas. I'm having LOTS of fun with this renovation, but it's amazing all of the decisions you have to make and you have to visualize them all together and hope that they'll all work! I have a pretty good idea of the theme/colors in most of the new rooms (and in the current rooms that will be repurposed), but am waiting until we find out the sex of Baby Donald 2.0 (ONLY 5 MORE DAYS!!!!) to decide on the new nursery theme and on Belle's room's theme. If we have another girl, Belle's current nursery theme will be carried over into her new room. But if it's a boy, I have a new theme in mind (but I should still be able to reuse a lot of the things that are currently in her room now). Then I also already have a girl's nursery theme in mind, but am still kinda undecided about a boy. Also, I'm waiting to see if we're going to have 2 girls or 1 girl and 1 boy before deciding on the theme for the kids' bathroom. I think I know what I want to do with the stuff that's important now though (tile colors, cabinet colors, etc.), and the accents will just be dependant on the sex of Baby 2.0. So, we'll just have to wait to see where to focus efforts there. There are SOOO many decisions to make and still lots of recon shopping to do (I've visited SO many cabinet, flooring, tile, doors, windows, etc. stores already!)! I want to try to at least get an idea of all of the basics so that I can come up with an estimate for all of those things once we get the estimate for the main structures (in 3-4 weeks)! I'm so excited about this addition though, and just PRAY that we have a good summer weather-wise (wrt rain and hurricanes) so that we don't have any major delays!
Grammy gets here tomorrow to have time to hang out with us before we leave for our babymoon and to learn Belle's current routine. I hope Belle doesn't wear Grammy out too much! She's been really good with her sleeping habits lately (except for the beach day or any other time when there is activity going on), so hopefully that will help her to have time to rejuvinate (she was juvinated, lost it, then got juvinated again... rejuvinated! Sorry... I slipped into a Pootie Tang reference!). Either way, I'm sure both Belle and Grammy will have lots of fun!

I remember picking out all the specifics when I built my house, it was SO hard but I wasn't nearly as prepared as you! I just went one random day (had the help of two sales MEN) and pointed at swatches. You have NO idea what they're all going to look like together and you're making decisions for entire rooms off a 2x2 swatch? And I didn't see the results until 9 months later and I remember thinking, I really picked THAT color? But its still fun! I SO can't wait until you know the gender! Also can't wait to be there!!!
I can't believe you will know your gender before I do! BOOOOO! But seriously, I am happy for you and can't wait to hear.
Belle is amazing and I was telling Leah today how she will play with her friends at the party soon. She wanted to have the party today.
Your house is going to be so awesome. Will it be done in the fall when we come down to show new baby off?
I wish it would be done in the fall! I have a feeling it will be more like Spring 2008 though! :( We're going to see about doing it in stages and see if maybe we can get some parts done first without it being too much more expensive.
I can't believe you're 5 days away from being half way through this pregnancy! It's going so fast!!!
