Our Babymoon

I guess the Europe-tour of Fall 2005 would qualify as our babymoon for Annabelle, and now we've got our Baby Donald 2.0 babymoon planned! :) We wanted something easy to plan, somewhere not too far from home (since Annabelle will be staying here with Grammy), somewhere relaxing and easy-going, and something we could do SOON, before I get too fat to enjoy it! We quickly came to the conclusion that the carribean would be a good option, so that narrowed it down a bit. Then, I started the search for a specific place, using Frommer's as my guide (they haven't steered me wrong yet). It didn't take much looking before I discovered Frommer's page of "The Best Places to Get Away From It All". After looking into the first entry, Biras Creek, I didn't have to look any further. I did research on Biras resort to make sure it had good reviews, and it has great reviews from both visitors (on many different travel sites) and from the professionals in travel (it has received major props and award from Travel & Leisure). It has great recreational options (even for a preggo) and the meals are gourmet and included. The rooms are all secluded villas (we got an ocean view suite... see the picture of the view from an ocean suite below), and each guest gets a bike to tour the property (since everything is so spread out). I can't wait!

The ONLY bad point to this is that I'll be leaving Belle for 5 whole days (well, nearly 5 whole days)! I know she'll be in great hands, so I'm not worried about her, but I'm worried about me! :) I have never gone a whole day without her, so I can't imagine what 5 days will be like! I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves and we'll have a great relaxing time, but I'm still a bit nervous about it. One saving grace is that they actually have high-speed internet, so we'll probably bring Keith's laptop and video skype with Belle a couple of times while we're gone (that is ALL that the laptop will be used for though!!!).

Oh yeah, and we're leaving in less than a month! :)
