Traveling to London

I think we may just have the best baby ever! Annabelle has been SUCH a great traveler so far! On the flight from Melbourne to Atlanta, she was asleep for a few minutes but she was awake most of the time. She was such a good girl that when people got off the plane they were commenting that they didn't even realize that there was a baby on board! Then we had about 7 hours to kill on our layover before leaving Atlanta for London, and she was good while we walked up and down the various terminals! She sat in her stroller most of the time (Thank You Nikki!!!). It was fun to see all of the strangers adoring her and commenting on how cute she was. :) She was so excited to see her daddy when he showed up on his flight from San Francisco. The flight to London was overbooked so we were stuck in our center row of seats near the back of the plane. We got settled in our seats and the 3rd seat in our row was still empty, but we didn't get too excited since we knew that the flight was full. When our temporary neighbor showed up, she (a mid-30ish woman) took one look at Annabelle and said "Oh!", then kept on walking. When she got back she told us that she asked the flight attendants to give her a new seat. I can understand not wanting to sit next to a baby on a flight, but she was just flat out rude. Of course they weren't able to reassign her since the flight was full, so when another flight attendant walked by, she asked again and this time said that she has a psychological problem with children (or something like that). They still did nothing, so on top of the stress of handling a baby on a flight across the ocean, we had to worry about psycho-woman attacking her if she cried! We weren't the only ones who thought she was psycho... the flight attendant made a comment to me about her being a little "off" when I went to the back to change Belle's diaper. Anyway, Annabelle was so good the entire flight (this time she did sleep most of the time) that even psycho-woman had to have been impressed! Again, we got so many compliments from other passengers on how good she was.

We arrived at our hotel a couple of hours later (we passed London Bridge on the way, but I forgot to look because Belle was starting to get cranky at this point), got a quick nap (I only got about 3 hours sleep Thursday night, then slept for probably a total of 2 hours on the plane Friday night so I was exhausted), then met up with Sally & Rob for a yummy pizza dinner. Again, Annabelle was a good girl through most of the meal. Since we were all pretty tired from traveling, we decided to call it a night and meet up for breakfast to decide on what to do on Sunday.

I have taken a few pictures, but unfortunately I forgot my memory card adapter to download the pictures from my camera. :( I am hoping to find one soon since we need one for Keith's computer anyway, so as soon as I find one, I'll get my pictures online!
