"There's Big Ben, Kids"

Sunday we slept in a little, then headed out to go to London (we are actually staying in Greenwich). The weather forecast said that the rain should be clearing up in the afternoon, so we decided to do outdoor sight-seeing. However... the weather forecast was wrong. We walked around and saw Windsor Castle, the Houses of Parliment, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the famous round-a-bout from National Lampoon's European Vacation, then when it was pouring on us we decided to head to the shopping area to do some "indoor sight-seeing". Keith found a store with Scotish items about the "MacDonald clan" specifically (this is where the Donalds came from), and as I searched for mittens for Annabelle. We then headed back to the hotel to get dried up and catch a quick rest before meeting Juergen and heading to a Thai restaurant for dinner to meet some of the newer i21 employees, Portia and Rick.

On Monday, the official business part of the trip began (not that there wasn't business talk on Saturday and Sunday), so Keith went to the i21 office for business meetings while Annabelle and I stayed back at the hotel for our morning naps, then ventured out to try out the Greenwich bus system to go find some shopping. We sure did find it! :) In addition to finding another H&M store, I found a new store that I really like, NEXT. Since I was going to be by myself with Annabelle, and would be getting on and off of buses, I decided to only bring my scarf-like baby carrier to carry Annabelle in and left the stroller behind. She did really well, and slept cuddled up next to me for probably 3.5 of the 5 hours that I was out shopping, and as a bonus carrying her in the scarf/sling didn't hurt my back at all! After shopping for a few hours, Belle & I headed back to the hotel to find out what everyone else was up to. Sally met us to take us to a Mexican restaurant where we met Keith, Rob, Juergen, and a new friend, Dave. Since everyone had a long day of work, we all retired for the night to get a fresh start tomorrow.

Annabelle seems to have adjusted to the time change pretty quickly. She doesn't go down for the night until closer to midnight, but she has only been waking up once or twice at night, and seems to be taking more naps than usual. I assume that extra naps are because of all of the shopping and eating out, which seem to be a natural sedative for her, and the late bed time is more in line with mine so it all works for me! :)

P.S. Still no luck with the adapter for the camera... maybe with the next post.
