Kicking My Butt

This morning I did 35 minutes on the treadmill then did an aerobic class that totally kicked my butt- which I guess it was supposed to do since it's called Thighs, Abs, and Glutes (T.A.G.). I wasn't really planning on attending the class, and I actually didn't even know what class I was walking in to, but as I was finishing up on the treadmill I noticed a bunch of women about my age (and none in their 60s) lining up outside of the aerobics room, so I followed. When I found out what the class was, it sounded like something I could do instead of doing weights... so I did.

The class was pretty freakin' hard, but I did it. I did have to stop a few times, but I stayed the whole time. I came to a strong realization that I will never be an aerobics instructor... not because I'll never be in shape enough to be one, but I'll never have the coordination that is required to really do aerobics correctly. I'm so uncoordinated and look like a fool, but I'm exhausted (and it probably wasn't the kind of class that you should take after spending nearly 3 miles on the treadmill), so it's worth it!

Also, you might have noticed my traineo button on the right column of my blog. I found traineo from Chelsi, and thought it was a good idea. As you can see, at only 2 days into the week, I've already burned nearly a days worth of calories! Yea!

Good job! Sounds like your on your way to winning :) I joined traineo awhile ago but didn't keep up with it. So...I rejoined with my new email address. By the way, the BMI it figues is wrong. It just goes off your weight and height and doesn't account for muscle mass vs. fat. I had mine done at the gym where they measure all sorts of stuff and it was 3 points lower. Just thought I'd share that because it freaked me out when I saw what it said :)

Good for you. I'm so glad we are all doing this together. I did a 50 minute Billy Blanks Bootcamp DVD that kicked my bootie today. I'm getting ready to go for a run.

I left Kelly's house as she was headed for the gym today too.. glad I didn't get in on this one with you all!! Sounds like some serious weight loss / body reshaping going on with this group!! Good luck and have fun getting healthy!!

Keri try the elliptical trainer it burns twice as many calories as the treadmill. At first you will hate it but it gets better : ) Good luck

I'm so excited to see you this excited! Apparently I'm the key to your motivation.. if I'm not getting married, then at least I'm organizing a weight loss challenge. :) Ok, the weight loss challenge was your idea in the first place and you were at In Shape before I was. Maybe we're each other's key to weight-loss motivation. Anyway.. happy to see we're finally motivating each other again!
