Another Night, Another Day

So again... Corgan slept thought the night, and again, I was on the couch all night. Since getting Corgan out of our room isn't really an option, I guess maybe we need to rearrange the room to see if we can come up with a way to put something between us and him. When we go to hotels, I always try to put the crib or playpen behind a chair or table or something so I don't know why I wouldn't have thought to do that at home too. Of course, that was always with Annabelle who was not as good of a sleeper as Corgan, but now that he's getting older I guess he's not as great of a sleeper as we'd thought. Maybe this evening I'll try to rearrange things and try sleeping in my room again.

I actually exercised 2 days in a row now! I took the bike to pick Annabelle up from school again. This time it wasn't as easy though because A. I was already a little sore from yesterday and 2. The wind was blowing pretty hard against me on the way there and C. Corgan was awake and is NOT a fan of wearing a helmet! Corgan screamed his famous Corgan scream for a good amount of the way there, and a bit on the way back, but not as much. Annabelle didn't like wearing her helmet at first either, but she was also 5 months older than he is and she got over it faster. Hopefully he'll get used to it soon because I'm really enjoying my exercise and sunshine time, and Annabelle is too.

Potty training is still pretty good if we're only talking about pee. Annabelle still hasn't had a pee accident since Day 2 of potty training (except for the few she had on her first day of potty at school since she was afraid of the toilets). She's really good about telling us when she has to pee, and is even doing great with it at school. Now poppies... that's another story. Sometimes she does good, but usually it's a major struggle. She'll usually tell me when she needs to go, but it's like an hour too early and she ends up going to sit on the potty 5-6 times before she actually goes. This wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have Corgan too because I end up sitting on the floor waiting for her to go (or not go) and Corgan gets bored with it and I just end up sitting there trying to keep him from falling over in the bathroom and bumping his head on the tile or something while keeping both him and Annabelle entertained. Then when Annabelle does have poopie accidents, she gets VERY upset and bawls like a baby! You'd think that I beat her or something when she poops in her pants. I've always been very calm about it and even go back to her "Potty and Me" book to show her that "Potty and Me" (she thinks that the main character's name is actually "Potty and Me") had an accident and her Mommy says "That's okay" and cleans it up. She even woke up from her nap screaming today because she pooped in her diaper and was SOOO upset about it. I guess it's good that she doesn't like pooping in her pants, but I can't wait until she figures out the timing of going in the potty.

Warning: Another yucky poop story ahead. A detour is recommended if you have a weak stomach, are presently eating food, or are just tired of reading about my daughter's poop. So, the other night Annabelle kept doing the "I have to go poopies" thing for like an hour. Toward the end of the hour, I was tired of running to the potty and wanted to watch Big Brother so when she said that she needed to go, I just helped her take off her panties then told her to go and tell me if she needed my help. So, off came the pants and off she went. She came back having not gone, and I was tired of putting her panties back on so I didn't force it. She ran around naked for a couple of minutes before another "I have to go poopies", so again, I told her to go and tell me when she needed me. Just a few seconds later I heard "Mommy, I went poppies!" So I got up to run back to see if she did and noticed a dollop of poop on the carpet in the middle of the living room floor. I knew then that her "poopies" were just the poop that was stuck on her butt after pooping on the floor. I went back there anyway to check and get her cleaned up. I gently explained to her that she did poopies on the living room floor and I took her to go see what I meant. But, when we got to the living room the dollop of poop was gone and Macy was licking the floor where it had been. Apparently Macy cleaned it up for us.

You can't say I didn't warn you! Someday Annabelle is going to be so mad at me for talking about her poop so much!

At least you have Macy. :)

Rearranging your room sounds like a great idea. Let us know how it goes.
