6 Week Old Corgan

It's hard to believe that Corgan is already over 6 weeks old (he was 6 weeks last Wednesday)! At his 5 week appointment last week, he was 10lbs 12.5 oz and 22.5" long. I don't know exactly where that is percentile-wise, but it was a bit above the 50% curve (maybe 70% or so for both?). He's already holding his head up with no problem, has very strong legs and uses them to push quite a bit. He is grasping at items, and loves to hold other people's fingers. He smiles the most beautiful smile when I play Patty Cake with him. He doesn't mind sitting in the baby bouncer and he does well laying in his Baby Einstein baby gym, but he still doesn't care for the swing. His favorite pattern seems to be lines as he enjoys looking at our winscoting and at the cedar planks on the ceiling. His sister liked that when she was tiny too. And like most babies, he is entertained by looking at the lights and ceiling fans.

He is taking a bottle and pacifier very well, but whether he eats from the breast or a bottle, he spits up very often! For the past few days he has been sleeping 5-6 hours straight at night in his carseat, so we're going to keep him sleeping in there for a while. He hates to have a dirty diaper, but isn't a fan of having his diaper changed either. He peed on us while changing his diaper a few times early in life, but hasn't done it for a few weeks now (knock on wood)!

Although Corgan still favors his sister at his age and they both look like Mommy & Daddy depending on the day and the face that they are making, I think he has more of my features than Annabelle did. He seems to have more Kolumbus in him, where Belle has more Donald in her. Regardless of who they look like, they're both absolutely beautiful children! :D

It's amazing that these simple little actions can be so impressive, but they are! Every little milestone is a blessing and puts Corgan one step closer to being the wonderful man that I know that he will be someday!

6 Week Old Picture of Corgan are up.

Ha ha, all that extra energy used knocking on the wood, when we only have to touch it... ;)
