The Belle of Tuscaloosa

Our vacation in Tuscaloosa was filled with relaxing and hanging out with family. It seems like every other time that we've been there with Belle, our fime has been filled with go-go-go plans, but this time it was different. We visited Keith's grandparents, but other than that we stayed at Keith's parents' house and visited his sister next door. It was nice and low key. Keith's mom (Grandmama) got out some of her kids' old toys and Belle loved playing with them, especially their old rocking horse and rocking chair. She didn't want to sit still to read the books, but she loved the rocking toys, musical instruments, and even playing with some Easter eggs and baskets, and REALLY had fun with their new puppy, Max. One of her favorite toys was a set of kids cups in primary (+ green) colors.. she played with them in the pool, bathtub, and everywhere else.

Annabelle loved swimming in the Donalds' pool, and is still doing really well with swimming. She still wasn't too excited when she knew she was going to go under, but she did great and still stopped crying as soon as she was done. She even fell in head-first near the steps once and although she wasn't in a deep area and we didn't really give her time to do the whole flip-and-float routine, she still didn't choke on the water at all and had started to position herself correctly by the time that Marian grabbed her. In fact, she didn't cry at all after the whole incident was done! I'm looking forward to getting Annabelle in a couple of more weeks of swimming lessons to really get the float perfectly, then taking her swimming for as long as I can! :)

I don't know if it's because I'm still in the mode of "Erica will do it" or what, but I didn't take many pictures in Tuscaloosa. :) I did manage to take a few that are now up on our photo gallery.
