Happy Easter!

Belle got a couple of visits from the Easter Bunny this weekend! Her first Easter surprise showed up in our hallway Saturday morning. She got to play with a bag of eggs filled with fun toys (we still aren't sure how the bag got there... but we have some suspicions)! Unfortunately, although she seemed fine Saturday morning, Annabelle had some cold symptoms when she woke up from her morning nap. She had a very runny nose, coughed a lot, kept laying her head down, and she actually wanted to cuddle (she ONLY does that when she's sick or playing shy). That evening she even had a fever that went up to 103. The fussiness and pitifulness of this "yuck" that Belle was experiencing put a little damper on her Easter. She coughed quite a bit overnight, and actually cuddled in bed with us this morning while watching her favorite shows. As the day went on, she definitely seemed to feel better. I didn't take her temp today, but she didn't feel warm so I think the fever is gone.

When Belle woke up from her morning nap today, the Fancy Easter Bunny had paid her a visit! Eggs were all over our porch just waiting to be found. :) We got Belle dressed for Easter and took her outside to hunt for eggs. She was so cute because she is SO easily distracted so she'd pick up an egg, then get distracted on her way to her basket to drop it off or she'd be heading toward an egg then suddenly spot her slide out of the corner of her eye and was off to play on the slide instead of picking up the egg. Needless to say, picking up the eggs took a while, but I think she had lots of fun doing it. And she definitely enjoyed the stickers and toys inside the eggs (I won't even mention how much of the chocolate is already gone or was already eaten before we even got back inside the house). There were even some special eggs for the cats and dog. :) Belle even got a super-cute bunny basket from her Great Aunt Kim and Cousin Olivia to keep her eggs in.

Since I went crazy with Easter pictures last year, I have some great props that I was hoping to use for Easter pictures today, but Belle definitely wasn't up for it. I guess I'll just have to save my props and ideas for next year. Even though we didn't get "professional pictures", there are some cute pictures of Annabelle hunting for Easter eggs on our gallery.
