Belle's Bribery

Belle has started bribing me to get what she wants! Just about any time I'm sitting at the computer, she comes up and asks to "see Belle" (to watch her Podcast videos). It's cute, but when she does it over and over 20x a day, it gets to be a bit much. This afternoon I was working on something (okay, okay... I was looking for nursery stuff), and she came to me and asked to "see Belle". I told her "not right now" repeatedly, and she leaned up to give me a kiss. When I leaned in to take the kiss, she reached up and gave me a big hug too. Then she kept doing both over and over. I couldn't resist, so I let her "see Belle" a few times until she was happy to move on to something else. I know, I'm a sucker. But I can't resist a good kiss... How do you think I got pregnant? :) Haha!

In attempt to get what she wants, Belle's been pretending to cry a lot more often. That isn't working though. It's SUCH a fake cry and lots of time I'll just fake cry back at her. Either that or without looking at her I say "Belle... you don't need to cry. Just say 'Mama'" and she'll say "Mama", then I turn to her and ask "Yes Belle... what do you want?" Then she'll usually tell me what it is that she wants. She's starting to call my name first when she wants something and asking me nicely too. That works well with me, but my mom is going to be watching Belle while we're off Babymooning and Belle only signs "Grammy" so she has a hard time getting her attention that way. We're trying to get her to say Grammy (or something like it) so that she doesn't have to yell to get Grammy's attention while we're gone.

Speaking of Grammy... Annabelle's been having so much fun with Grammy. She's keeping Grammy on her toes (sometimes literally) and playing with her constantly. I'm not sure who's enjoying who more! :) Pictures of Belle during Grammy's first few days here are up.
