Belle's definitely doing her part to slow down my shopping habits in order to save up for the addition to the house! A few weeks ago, I made the mistake of letting Belle get down and run around when we went in a store that was nearly empty. She'd been in the stroller for a long time, so I thought I'd let her stretch her legs (she was very tired and fussy at that point too). Now... she doesn't want to stay in the shopping cart or stroller or even in my arms! I used to be able to bribe her into being a good shopper with food (which kinda worried me 'cause I was afraid she'd always associate shopping with eating or vice-versa... neither one is good to do! :)), but she doesn't care about that anymore! My sister-in-law, Marian (Belle's "Auntie M"), and I went to Target with Belle and from just after the time that we walked in the door Annabelle wanted to get down and run around! After a while, I let her run around the women's clothes, but I couldn't keep up with her and she kept running out into the asile and in front of oncoming shopping carts, so I had to put her back into the cart. Oh... and I don't even want to mention how long it takes us to get out of an aisle that has balls on it... she wants to play with every one of them!
So... looks like my days of running out and shopping with Annabelle may be slowing down, and I imagine that it will be next to impossible once there are two tagging along! At least there's always the internet! :) Haha!
Annabelle said (well, signed) her first "sentence" Tuesday... she signed "dog play ball"! She likes to throw (or have us throw) Macy's ball and watches Macy run around with it. She signed that totally out of the blue with absolutely NO prompting! Wednesday she just did "dog ball" (no "play"), but that's still pretty good. She's also signing "more" and saying "apple" when she wants more apple bits.
Halle came over to play last night and the girls had so much fun! It's so neat that they can play together now. I thought Belle did really well with sharing her toys with Halle, except when it came to her babies and her balls. It was cute to watch Belle pick up a toy and hand it to Halle to play with it too, and to watch the girls babble at eachother. We definitely need to get them together more often. :)
New pics are added to our photo gallery, new videos added to Belle's website, and I finished Belle's 13th month page. It's so neat to be able to look back on each month to see and remember how much she has changed.

I feel your pain! The only thing that works for me are strollers, shopping carts, etc that look like cars. The cars at Publix and the mall work perfect. Target has something where the kids sit on a little red seat but not in the cart and Zach likes that OK also.
He still has a short window though. Good luck!
We are having that issue also, except food still works pretty well as an entertainer. I also try to give her random stuff from around the store to play with, then I put it away when she gets bored with it. I mean, I put it back wherever I am (the workers must LOVE me).
I am totally blown away by signing sentences. You are so much more consistent with it than I was. Leha never strung signs together. I can't wait to witness it!
