Belle Walks on the Moon

Today at Jesse Bookman's 3rd birthday party Belle played in a moon walk (aka jumping house, bounce house, moon house, etc.) for the first time. The kids were going crazy in there (as I'm sure you can imagine), so when it died down a little I went in there with her expecting to just "hop, hop" with her a couple of times, which she enjoyed but she didn't want me to hold her. She saw the other kids running around the moon walk and wanted to do it too. She was, again, the youngest by far, but that didn't stop her. She would take a couple of steps, fall and bounce on her face, then get right back up for more steps. I would've thought that she would even just crawl around if she got in there alone, but nope... she wanted to run! She even was throwing herself up against the sides like the other kids were. At one point, Jesse played with her and copied anything she said or did. She thought that was hilarious. That girl has got SO much energy!

Unfortunately, even though I had my camera with me, I couldn't take any pictures since I couldn't get far from Belle so that I could make sure she didn't fall out the entryway or get her fingers crushed by a jumping 5 year old. Plus, I don't think I would trust having my camera in there with all of those kids throwing their limbs (and the rest of their bodies) all over the place with no regard for what might be in the way. :) Guess we'll just have to throw a party and rent a moon walk for ourselves!

P.S. I love moon walks too, and it took lots of restraint to not attempt to do flips myself! :)

That is awesome that she enjoys it so young. My neighbor Laurie has a bounce house she bought from Sam's (not too expensive, you may want to check into it) and until just this weekend Leah was not a huge fan. I think she was scared that I wasn't in there with her. But this past Saturday she climbed right in and actually JUMPED with the other kids. She had lots of fun.

I can totally see Annabelle running around and throwing herself against the sides, laughing as she does it. It's too bad you didn't get it on video, but I've got a good idea in my head! :)

We should get a bounce house for Hive. Maybe we could all chip in and rent one.

Zach loves them too!

I wish I could have seen Annabelle throwing herself against the walls. I'm sure you'll get it on video next time!
