Wrist Troubles

Around my 6th month of pregnancy I started developing carpal tunnel in both wrists, and by my 7th month it was getting unbearable. Supposedly like 25% of pregnancies cause carpal tunnel, yet I never spoke with anyone else who had it. When you're pregnant, there's not much you can do about it either. I tried wearing a brace at night (when it bothered me the most because I couldn't find a comfortable position for my arms/hands to get to sleep), but that didn't make a lot of difference. This happens because of the swelling, but I'm sure my career in front of a computer didn't help either. Within a couple of weeks of giving birth, the carpal tunnel went away.

Not much later, another pain appeared. This time it's in my left wrist. I've had this pain like a bruise which sometimes becomes sharp depending on how I position my hand. Also, it feels like my thumb or wrist is going to pop out of joint if I move it a certain way. The pain has been going between barely there and holy ****, but it's just gotten worse lately! I talked to my doctor about it and apparently it's a form of tendonitis! Of course, the fix for that is to take anti-inflammatories... which I can't do while nursing. So, I'm back to the brace (which will be next to impossible with a baby). Ugh!

On another note, Belle has been doing this thing where she holds her hands together then lifts them over her head... kinda like she's trying to do the "A" in "YMCA". It's so cute. I hope I can get a picture of it soon. :)

Teething seems to have started again. She was such a crabby baby this morning (and not the "mommy likes crabs" kind of crabby baby ;))! Until about 1:30pm today, it was pretty rough, but then she took a nap and I guess she felt better once she got up. Grammy arrived this evening, and so far she's being Grammy's little angel. :)

We'll see what tomorrow brings...
