Hallelujah! Annabelle's sleeping patterns are FINALLY getting better! I started swaddling her arms very tightly at night because I found that she was startling and waking herself up very often. I think that has done the trick! All last week, she got better and better each night in showing signs of a pattern, and now it seems pretty well established! Last night was probably the best ever! She went to bed (and by "bed", I mean her crib! She hasn't slept in the basinnet for 10 days... she's too big for it now anyway) around 9, woke up at 2 to change, eat, and back to sleep by 2:30, then didn't wake up again until 6! After that we spent some time on the couch sleeping, because she doesn't sleep too well in her crib when it's light out, but I was SOOO excited that she slept from 9-6 with only ONE time waking up! I will be happy when she starts sleeping through the night, but I have to admit that I love the quiet time with her during her one waking time. It's so peaceful and she seems so content during that time.
I don't know if this is because she's been sleeping so much better, but Annabelle has grown too. She's up to 25 inches long now!!! I don't know how much she weighs, but hopefully I'll find that out somehow soon. :) She doesn't have another doctor's appointment until she's 4 months old, but hopefully I'll find somewhere to weigh her before then. It's funny, when she was first born when people would see her, they'd think she was a tiny baby and were surprised at her average birth weight, but now she's getting so big that people are assuming that she was a big baby.
And one more thing... Annabelle ROLLED OVER on her own yesterday! She did it twice before I went to get the camera, then as soon as I got the camera out she got bored and started crying. Hopefully I'll get it on video soon!
